In June 2018, Innovation Nest launched for the first time an open call for project ideas in key sectors such as Tourism, Energy, and ICT, encouraging young innovators and SMEs from across Albania and the Western Balkans to apply. The response was overwhelming, setting the stage for what became one of the region’s most dynamic startup programs.
The selected participants had the opportunity to present their ideas during the festival, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and connect with investors who believed in supporting early-stage innovation.

Angel Network based in Albania, dedicated to empowering ideas and connecting innovators with opportunities.
Participants attended a two-day pre-preparation program on 3rd and 4th September 2018, designed to help them refine their business ideas and strengthen their presentations.
September 3ʳᵈ – A special workshop titled “Pitching Made Easy” led by Erkens Gjini, who guided participants through practical strategies for delivering powerful and effective pitches.
September 4th – A special workshop titled “How to crowdfund your idea successfully” led by Jes Bailey who aimed to not only help entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs raise money for the projects they’re passionate about, but simultaneously help them build their audience and marketing too.
